Raed mansour

Executive Assistant to the Commissioner,
Chicago Department of Public Health

Raed is the Executive Assistant to the Commissioner at the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH), where he leads innovation projects under the Office of the Commissioner, like the award winning FoodBorne Chicago. He works on building capacity through collaborations with Chicago's civic tech community for CDPH's data science initiatives, including projects in predictive analytics and app development that can be applied to public health practice. Mansour is adjunct faculty at Boston University's Graduate Program in Health Communication. Mansour also serves as the Communication and Social Media Co-Chair within the Health Administration Section of the American Public Health Association. He is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Communication in Healthcare.

Prior to that, his positions included a coordinator of public information at the University of Illinois at Chicago Midwest Latino Health, Research, Training and Policy Center; a genetic engineering research assistant at Perdue University; and a clinical biochemistry fellow. He has a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Animal Physiology from Perdue University, a Master of Science in Health Communication from Boston University and a Certificate in Predictive Analytics from DePaul University.
