It's almost here! Have you purchased your ticket yet? NEXT MONDAY! We almost can't believe it ourselves! Here's what you need to know:
- What it is: BarnRaise is two-day make-a-thon that networks creative hubs and visionary organizations to rally around one social problem.
- Why you should go: We have a variety of excellent keynote speakers, interaction within design firm spaces, and the opportunity to help solve real problems for real organizations. Make a difference in the city of Chicago, and learn a few things along the way!
- How much it costs: Tickets are $750, though graduate student tickets are only $200. If you're a current student, staff, or faculty member, tickets are $140. Hurry though, we're nearly at capacity, and would hate to miss you due to capacity issues!
- How to register: Visit our Eventbrite page! Easy peasy!
Can't afford to participate on a team? Well, you're in luck, because the final share-out is open to the public! While you don't get the experience of learning methods and hearing from great keynote speakers, you can see what teams created and what the BarnRaise experience is all about, so you can consider joining the fun next year! The best news: it's free! Register for this event here (If you're already signed up to participate in BarnRaise, no need to re-register).
Hey look, the final share out is going to be in Motorola Mobility's space in the Merchandise Mart too! It's a beautiful space, and has great views out over the river. Come for the food and drink, views, learning, people, laughter, innovation... really, no matter the reason you stop by, you're sure to have a great time.
We truly hope you can make it, whether it's to the entire event or just the share-out on Wednesday evening. This is the first year we're trying something new, and we would absolutely love to have you join. Let's show Chicago how we can improve urban safety in an open source world together, through multidisciplinary team work, design methods, and have some fun along the way!
