Learn new methods. Make big change. BarnRaise 2014 was a two-and-a-half day make-a-thon that networked creative hubs and social visionaries in Chicago around one social problem. The topic for BarnRaise 2014 was "urban safety in an open-source world."
In addition to hearing from great speakers, BarnRaise 2014 participants spent two days working on teams led by expert design firms. These teams were each partnered with a specific company or non-profit who will present a real design challenge that they were currently facing. Teams had two days to work on imagining and building solutions, which all lead to a final, public exhibit where the prototypes were handed over to the partnering organizations.
